This section will be updated at some stage when I have gained more information on the subject

All I know for sure is it entails a two day course, which is all done in Spanish. Which concludes with a written exam, again all in Spanish (no surprise there really)

If you are still interested in following up getting an fac in Spain

And you have not been put off so far, there are two main types of shooting, more information can be found

, you will find a comprehensive guide to obtaining your Spanish fire arms certificate along with a lot of shooting in Spain and fire arms certificate myths explained by British expatriates who already own fire arms in Spain and own Spanish fire arms certificates

Target Shooting

This sport includes .22 rimfire rifle, .22 rimfire pistol, centrefire pistols, shotguns for clay pigeon shooting, and muzzle-loading arms.

There is a National Governing body for the sport, the REAL FEDERACÍON ESPAÑOLA DE TIRO OLÍMPICO, the Royal Olympic Shooting Federation of Spain. You will need to join the Federation before you can train to get a licence,

Hunting

Hunting is very popular in Spain. It falls into two categories, Big Game called Caza Mayor (which means game too big for a shotgun, deer rather than elephant would be an example, so centrefire rifle is used) and Small Game called Caza Menor such as rabbit or gamebirds.
